Flag Football Recap: Mary Persons Gets the Win

In Friday's Canine Competition, Mary Persons prevailed. They came out on top against the Howard Huskies by a score of 20-12 on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Olivia Crews threw for 208 yards and a pair of TDs. Sara Saunders was her top target, picking up 97 receiving yards.

Mary Persons' win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Howard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mary Persons and Howard will both be playing Columbus the next time they take the field. The Huskies will host the Blue Devils at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
