Volleyball Recap: Dacula Takes a Loss

If Dacula was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mountain View on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the Buford Wolves on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Dacula's offense was headlined by Zarayah Kennedy and Khloe Nixon, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Elena Pucciano and her seven assists. Amiliaa Deleon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Buford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addie Williams led the charge by getting seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs Williams has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Olivia Lewis, who had seven digs and two assists.

Dacula has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-20 record this season. As for Buford, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3.

Dacula didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Collins Hill on the 8th. As for Buford, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mill Creek on the 8th.
