Football Recap: Cranston West's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Cranston West needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Kelan Cornell. The Cranston West Falcons simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Cranston East Thunderbolts 47-0 thanks in part to Cornell, who threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes. He is becoming a predictor of Cranston West's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 5-2 (and 0-4 when he doesn't).

David Boscia helped Cornell out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards on only ten carries. That's the most rushing yards Boscia has posted since back in September of 2023.

Cranston West didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Anthony Salas and Adam Stoloff.

Cranston West's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Cranston East, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

As of now, neither Cranston West nor Cranston East have any future games scheduled.
