Basketball Recap: Jordan Comes Up Short

Jordan and Provo squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Jordan had to settle for second. They were dealt a 64-29 defeat at the hands of the Provo Bulldogs. The Beetdiggers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February of 2019.

Provo found their leader in freshman Sage Yenchik, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Asha Alleto, who posted nine points.

Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Provo, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

Jordan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Provo, they will face off against Dixie at 9:10 p.m. on Thursday. Provo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.
