Basketball Recap: Fort Bend Kempner Piles Up the Points Against Madison

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Bend Kempner). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-17 victory over the Madison Marlins.

Leading Fort Bend Kempner to victory were Meghan Lausser and Keona Jackson. Lausser posted 22 points, while Jackson went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lausser has scored at least a third of Fort Bend Kempner's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keimoni Davis, who put up four points and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Madison lost, don't look at Mar?Janae Williams- Jack. Despite the final result, she had eight points. The dominant performance gave Williams- Jack a new career-high in points.

Fort Bend Kempner now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Madison, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Fort Bend Kempner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 35-27 defeat against Galena Park on the 7th. As for Madison, they will face off against Waltrip at 10:00 a.m. on December 14th. Madison has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
