Vidor won the last time they faced Little Cypress-Mauriceville and things went their way on Friday too. The Pirates came out on top against the Bears by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Brooks Burns spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jett Brucia, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Hayden Law was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Vidor's victory bumped their record up to 13-5-1. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Coming up, Vidor will challenge West Orange-Stark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they will square off against Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
