Baseball Recap: Dickinson Takes a Loss

Dickinson and Summer Creek squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dickinson had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 1-0 defeat on Friday.

Dickinson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-9-1 record this season. As for Summer Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-11-2.

Dickinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summer Creek, they will take on Pearland on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.4, the Oilers 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
