Volleyball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Pittsburg Dragons. The Titans were not able to make up for their loss to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pittsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Erika Maxwell, who had six digs and four aces.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-20-2. As for Pittsburg, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Fort Scott on the 2nd. As for Pittsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Girard on the 2nd.
