Basketball Recap: Lancaster Falls to Northampton in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Lancaster unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Northampton Yellowjackets on Tuesday, falling 60-37. The Red Devils were down 48-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Northampton found their leader in freshman TraQuan Coston, who shot 91% from the field on his way to 20 points along with five assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jasheem Collins, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 15 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lancaster is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Rappahannock County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northampton, they will square off against Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
