Volleyball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Pontiac

Pontiac entered their tilt with Teutopolis on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wooden Shoes. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pontiac was led to victory by Izzy Hinz and Trinity Cheek. Hinz had five digs and five aces, while Cheek had 14 kills, five digs, five blocks, and three aces. Cheek has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 22 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Pontiac was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last six matches.

Pontiac's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Teutopolis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.
