Football Recap: Upland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Upland put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the Alta Loma Braves. The Highlanders/Scots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

Upland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Amaya Contreras led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one interception the last nine times she's played.

Upland's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Alta Loma, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Upland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-13 win against South Hills on the 16th. As for Alta Loma, they will square off against Rancho Cucamonga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
