Basketball Recap: Red Bank Catholic's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to 21

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Red Bank Catholic walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans 67-39. The Caseys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Addy Nyemchek, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Christina Liggio, who went 7-for-15 en route to 15 points and five assists.

The win (which was Red Bank Catholic's 21st in a row) raised their record to 27-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-5.
