Volleyball Recap: Cholla Comes Up Short

Cholla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sunnyside Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Cholla's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sunnyside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Cholla and Sunnyside will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Chargers are set to challenge their familiar foe Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Sunnyside will square off against rival Tucson High Magnet School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
