Recap: Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen vs. Dallas Christian Chargers
After flying high against the Cornerstone Christian Academy Warriors on Tuesday, the Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen came back down to earth. Garland Christian Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-46 walloping at the hands of Dallas Christian on Friday. Garland Christian Academy lost against Dallas Christian in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-60 score last time.
Several Swordsmen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Sandlin, who scored 21 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Sandlin scored a full 45.7% of Garland Christian Academy's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Noah Doddy was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Garland Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Dallas Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Garland Christian Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Harvest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Dallas Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cistercian at 1:30 p.m. on December 18th.
