Merkel lost to Bangs back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Badgers skirted past the Dragons 29-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Badgers.
Merkel found their leader in sophomore Easton Malone, who threw for 158 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 47 yards. Mayson Prieto did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 40 receiving yards.
Merkel has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Bangs, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
