Baseball Game Preview: Moline Maroons vs. Quincy Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Moline will face off against Quincy. The Maroons will venture away from home to take on the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Moline barely beat Quincy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Maroons were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Blue Devils on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Maroons, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Quincy's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Parkhill, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Shane Pillars also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Moline's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Quincy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-11 record.
