Mississippi School for the Deaf suffers fourth straight loss on the road

The Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 77-36 defeat at the hands of Ohio School for the Deaf. Mississippi School for the Deaf was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-20.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Damarion English, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Christian Carrawell, who scored 7 points.

The last time Mississippi School for the Deaf won on the road was back on Friday. Having now lost four straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.8 points per game. As for Ohio School for the Deaf, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Mississippi School for the Deaf will head out on the road to face off against Illinois School for the Deaf at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Ohio School for the Deaf will be home for the holidays to greet Indiana School for the Deaf at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
