Basketball Recap: Keswick Christian Piles Up the Points Against Canterbury

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Keswick Christian walked away with it. They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 50-20 win over the Canterbury Crusaders. Keswick Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Keswick Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Jantomaso, who posted nine points. That's the most points Jantomaso has posted since back in November of 2024. Leah Celosse was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Keswick Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Keswick Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points over those games. As for Canterbury, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Coming up, Keswick Christian will take on Gulf Coast HEAT at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gulf Coast HEAT's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Keswick Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
