Volleyball Recap: Nipomo Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nipomo can now relate to. They came up short against the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles on Saturday, falling 3-0.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 36-34, 25-23, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Nipomo still got an impressive performance from Emily Rubalcava, who had 13 digs and two aces. Rubalcava has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Nipomo's loss dropped their record down to 27-8. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-21-1.

Nipomo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mammoth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
