Softball Recap: Braham Takes a Loss

Braham dropped their record down to 10-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Rush City Tigers by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bombers were not able to get on the board.

As for Rush City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs.

For Rush City's part, the result came thanks to Kendal Pillar's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. Pillar has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cailyn Glenna was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Coming up, Braham is taking a road trip to take on Hinckley-Finlayson at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Rush City, they will square off against Ogilvie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
