Basketball Recap: Howard Finds Playoff Glory Versus Chester

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Howard had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-48 victory over the Chester Flyers. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Howard pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points over those games. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Howard and Chester are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Howard will square off against Bridgewater/Emery at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chester will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McCook Central/Montrose at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. Chester has given up an average of 56.5 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
