Softball Recap: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. Garfield Bulldogs

Eastside Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Garfield Bulldogs. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Queen Tone was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Eastside Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Garfield, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastside Catholic will face off against Holy Names Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside Catholic's pitchers better be ready for this one: Holy Names Academy has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Garfield, they will take on Mercer Island at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
