Basketball Recap: Conneaut Takes a Loss

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Buchtel Griffins 83-20. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 93-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Despite the loss, Conneaut still got an impressive performance from Alden Goudge, who posted five points.

Conneaut's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Buchtel, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Conneaut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buchtel, they have already played their next game, a 53-50 loss against Woodridge on the 27th.
