There's no place like home for Bishop, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They secured a 26-21 W over the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions on Friday. The Badgers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Bishop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Reyna led the charge by picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. Reyna has become a key player for the Badgers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 0-3 otherwise. Another big playmaker for Bishop was Aidan Andalon, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Bishop's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. In that department, Asaiah Aguilera was the leader with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 16. Nathaniel Jasso was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks, making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

Bishop's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
