Basketball Recap: Riverview Bible Baptist Christian Comes Up Short

Riverview Bible Baptist Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Aurora Christian Academy Arrows on the road by a 40-22 margin. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Arrows apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Aurora Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aleah Heredia out in front who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Heredia has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Cope, who earned eight points along with eight boards and seven steals.

Riverview Bible Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Aurora Christian Academy, their record is now 10-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Polk County Christian the next time they take the court. Aurora Christian Academy will head out to face Polk County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Riverview Bible Baptist Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
