Baseball Recap: Jay Victorious

Jay got themselves on the board against Southwest Legacy on Saturday, but Southwest Legacy never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 back in March.

Not much got past Anthony Gonzalez, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Southwest Legacy off the board. Gonzalez also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jay is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-12 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Menchaca, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Jay's record now sits at 7-13. As for Southwest Legacy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Jay nor Southwest Legacy have any future games scheduled.
