Tomball had won 14 straight home games dating back to last season and Gemma Hopkins did her part to make it 15 on Friday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Magnolia Bulldogs with plenty of help from Hopkins, who had 12 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Tomball walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-8.

Tomball's victory bumped their record up to 35-6. As for Magnolia, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 23-11.

Tomball didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Klein Cain on the 21st. As for Magnolia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Magnolia West on the 21st.
