Baseball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Elgin's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates on Friday. The Comets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Elgin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Timmons, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Elgin now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Cardington-Lincoln, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elgin will welcome Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
