Basketball Recap: Dickson County Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If Northwest wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Dickson County, they should've done a better job of containing Jenna Saine. The Dickson County Cougars came out on top against the Northwest Vikings by a score of 41-30 on Tuesday thanks in part to Saine, who went 5 of 11 en route to 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Dickson County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Northwest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dickson County Cougars face off against the Clarksville Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clarksville will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Dickson County surely won't give up without a fight. Northwest has already played their next game (against Kenwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
