Baseball Recap: Elba Comes Up Short

Elba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-3 to Red Level. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Red Level this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 last Thursday.

Brady Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Elba is 2-1 when Johnson posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-4 otherwise. Powell Bane also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Elba now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Red Level, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

While Elba had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
