Recap: Carrollton Trojans vs. Harrison Hoyas

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Carrollton Trojans had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Harrison at home to the tune of 54-14. The win was familiar territory for Carrollton who now have ten in a row.

Julian Lewis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 435 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. Caleb Odom was another key contributor, picking up 70 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Harrison's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Kluse, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Carrollton pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.2 points per game. As for Harrison, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Carrollton will be playing in front of their home fans against Valdosta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valdosta is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
