The Hannibal Pirates will take on the Parkway Central Colts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hannibal will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Hannibal was able to grind out a solid victory over Holt, taking the game 3-1.

Hannibal relied on the efforts of Tessa Janes, who had 15 digs and five assists, and Lyla Dorsey, who hit 63.6% for 14 kills and 13 digs and two aces. The last time Dorsey's hitting percentage was this high was back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: Hannibal was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Parkway Central had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bombers. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now won seven in a row.
The win didn't come easy: Burroughs scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-19.
Parkway Central's win came from a few key players Hannibal will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tessa Wall, who had 13 digs and two aces. Avery Smith was another key player, getting 12 digs.
Hannibal's record is now 27-9-1. As for Parkway Central, their record now sits at 23-11-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Hannibal has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Parkway Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Hannibal couldn't quite get it done against Parkway Central when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as they fell 3-1. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
