Softball Game Preview: Moravia Blue Devils vs. Weedsport Wolverines

The Moravia Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Weedsport Wolverines at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Moravia has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Wednesday, Moravia came up short against Union Springs and fell 11-6. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost eight in a row.

Emily Austin was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lashley Heredia Castio, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Weedsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-3 to Lyons.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Weedsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
