Basketball Game Preview: South Miami Cobras vs. Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs

The South Miami Cobras will face off against the Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

South Miami came up short against South Broward on Saturday, falling 65-44.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Carroll beat Immaculata-La Salle 61-53 on December 14th.

South Miami better keep an eye on Marcus Gillete. He was instrumental in Archbishop Carroll's win, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Gillete a new career-high in steals (six). Another player making a difference was Jayden Seepersaud, who posted 11 points.

Archbishop Carroll smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Archbishop Carroll now has a winning record of 5-4. As for South Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

South Miami beat Archbishop Carroll 99-86 in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Archbishop Carroll's Ondrej Havranek, who had 22 points and five rebounds.
