Basketball Game Preview: Triumph Charter Jaguars vs. Downtown Magnets Suns

The Triumph Charter Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Downtown Magnets Suns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Triumph Charter comes in on eight and Downtown Magnets on five.

Triumph Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-49 win over Canoga Park.

Meanwhile, Downtown Magnets narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Huntington Park 55-52.

Downtown Magnets' win came from a few key players Triumph Charter will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Justin Huang, who posted 18 points and seven steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Lei, who scored seven points in addition to 13 boards and five steals.

Downtown Magnets pushed their record up to 22-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Triumph Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
