Volleyball Recap: Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Takes a Loss

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory lost against Cathedral back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Braves lost 3-0 to the Fighting Irish. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Braves have suffered since September 2nd.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-20.

Reese Feldman paced Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's offense, picking up 11 kills. Feldman got some help from Reese Blanchard and her 22 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Annabelle Hoban, who had 12 digs and three aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had over her last ten matches.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11. As for Cathedral, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Tri-West Hendricks on the 25th. As for Cathedral, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Yorktown on the 25th.
