Football Recap: Atascocita Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Atascocita extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Summer Creek Bulldogs. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Summer Creek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 56.8 points this season.

Summer Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Benny Easter Jr. out in front who picked up 222 receiving yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Easter Jr. is now averaging an impressive 105.6 receiving yards per game. Noah Spinks was another key passer, throwing for 501 yards and three TDs while completing 72.5% of his passes.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Atascocita will face off against rival Humble at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Summer Creek is set to challenge their familiar foe King at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,004 yards in their previous games.
