Coleman is 8-2 against Beaverton since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Comets will be taking part in a tournament against the Beavers at 9:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Glenn hit Coleman with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Comets lost 13-3 to the Bobcats. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coleman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliza Lewis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Beaverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Pinconning, falling 13-1.

Coleman's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Beaverton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Beaverton's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Coleman has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Beaverton, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Coleman keep running through batters, or will the Beavers buck the trend?

Everything went Coleman's way against Beaverton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Coleman made off with a 13-5 win. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
