Volleyball Recap: Tennyson Takes a Loss

Tennyson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Encinal Jets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Encinal scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-19.

Tennyson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Encinal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

After both having extra time off, Tennyson and San Lorenzo will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Encinal, they will head out to challenge Skyline at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
