Volleyball Recap: Hayden Falls Short of Andale in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hayden couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Andale Indians by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Hayden had strong showings from Ella Foster, who had nine digs and two assists, and Sophia Wichman, who had eight kills and six digs. Wichman is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Andale was led to victory by Abbi Winter and Carley Keller. Winter had 20 assists and six digs, while Keller had 16 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Keller has posted since back in September.

Hayden's defeat dropped their record down to 32-10. As for Andale, the win was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 36-1.

As of now, neither Hayden nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
