Basketball Game Preview: Unicoi County Blue Devils vs. David Crockett Pioneers

The Unicoi County Blue Devils will face off against the David Crockett Pioneers on Tuesday. Unicoi County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully David Crockett likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Unicoi County humbled Grainger with a 72-45 victory.

Meanwhile, David Crockett entered their tilt with Cherokee on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chiefs 67-35. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Chiefs are ranked 278th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Unicoi County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. David Crockett's win bumped their record up to 20-10.
