Soccer Game Preview: Emerson vs. Cleburne

The Emerson Mavericks will challenge the Cleburne Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Emerson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Cleburne better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Emerson really get things going. Emerson put the hurt on Anna with a sharp 6-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Mavericks have won three matches by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Cleburne's offense. They came up short against Martin on Monday, falling 3-0.

Emerson's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Cleburne, they now have a losing record at 1-2-3.
