Brianna Caliri leads Moore Catholic to victory over South Bronx Prep

Recap: Moore Catholic Mavericks vs. South Bronx Prep Cougars

On Monday, Moore Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against South Bronx Prep, but they still walked away with a 59-53 victory.

Brianna Caliri continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Ragona, who scored 14 points.

Moore Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for South Bronx Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Moore Catholic will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Maria Regina at 1:45 p.m. on February 4th. Maria Regina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Moore Catholic is ranked 36th). South Bronx Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tuitt at 4:30 p.m. on January 16th.
