Basketball Recap: Capital Prep Takes a Loss

Capital Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Parish Hill Pirates on the road by a 34-20 margin. If the Trailblazers were looking for revenge after losing 35-31 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Parish Hill found their leader in sophomore Julie Millerd, who posted 15 points along with seven boards and four steals. Gabby Nollet was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Capital Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Parish Hill, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Capital Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parish Hill, they will challenge Capital Prep/Classical Magnet/Achievement First at 6:00 p.m. on February 20th.
