Baseball Recap: East Gaston Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for East Gaston's offense. They came up short against the Burns Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 13-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

East Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Burns, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Gaston will face off against rival Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Burns is set to square off against their familiar foe Cherryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 1.8, the Ironmen 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
