Riverview extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping them up to 15-2-1. They never let the Flat Rock Rams get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Pirates have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Flat Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Riverview: they've now lost three in a row.

For Flat Rock's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Neace, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Riverview and Flat Rock should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Pirates will take on Huron at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (24 vs. 210). Meanwhile, Flat Rock (ranked 164th) will meet Grosse Ile (ranked 355th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
