Football Recap: Brookline Comes Up Short

Brookline had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it 11. They were dealt a 51-6 defeat at the hands of the Natick Redhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 45-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Natick, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Natick's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Levi Oliviera, who rushed for 60 yards and a pair of TDs. Jack Showstead made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brookline will challenge rival Framingham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Natick is set to take on their familiar foe Wellesley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
