Volleyball Preview: Austin Prep Cougars vs. Dana Hall        
        
		
             After both having extra time off, the Austin Prep Cougars and Dana Hall will dust off their jerseys to  square off against  one another  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Austin Prep is probably headed into the  match with a chip on their shoulder considering Phillips Academy just ended the team's  five-game winning streak  on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Big Blue by a score of  3-2. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Big Blue: they've now lost four in a row.
 While Austin Prep ultimately came up short, they really made  Phillips Academy work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 27-25, 21-25,  15-9.
 Austin Prep's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Olivia McSorley, who  had 14  digs and two  aces. McSorley is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in the last four games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Even though they lost, Austin Prep  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 19  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least nine  aces in ten consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile, Dana Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They fell just short of Noble & Greenough by a score of  3-2.
 Austin Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Dana Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Austin Prep beat Dana Hall 3-1  when the teams last played  back in October of 2023. Will Austin Prep repeat their success,  or does  Dana Hall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
