Basketball Game Preview: Jones Trojans vs. Northside - Pinetown Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the Jones Trojans will get right back to it and host the Northside - Pinetown Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jones is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jacksonville Christian Academy on Thursday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Northside - Pinetown had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 73-63 victory over the Seahawks.

Northside - Pinetown's win came from a few key players Jones will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Malachi Moore, who went 7 for 12 en route to 15 points and five assists. Nick Moore was another key player, going 8 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

Northside - Pinetown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 22 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Northside - Pinetown pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
