Soccer Recap: Ocean Lakes Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Ocean Lakes had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Menchville Monarchs by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Ocean Lakes were the better team in the second half.

Ocean Lakes has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those nine games. As for Menchville, they moved to 14-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Ocean Lakes will take on Independence at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Independence will roll in looking for their 22nd straight victory, something Ocean Lakes surely won't give up without a fight. Menchville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
